Michael Looby with his co author Dr Mike Long of UCD were awarded the ICE John Mitchell Medal 2009. The paper was presented in January and February 2010 to the ICE in One Great George St, London and in Birmingham in January and March 2010 respectively. Jean Venables OBE DSc MSc BSc (Eng) FICE, President of the ICE, presented the award to Dr. Mike Long and Michael Looby at the annual 2009 ICE awards ceremony in London.
