David Beadman has been awarded Engineers Irelands, Geotechnical Society, and Best Presentation award for 2009. The Title of David’s presentation was Design and Construction of Metros and Underground Stations to Eurocode 7 – with Case Histories, which and was presented to a record attendance of 165 people. David was presented the award by Chris Horn, President of Engineers Ireland at the 2009 Annual award ceremony in November 2009. David’s paper provides a valuable overview of up to date design approaches and featured the Copenhagen metro and London Jubilee line underground station design. David is A director of BLP and co author of CIRIA C580 ‘Embedded Retaining Walls Guidance for Economic Design’.
